Trent Alexander-Arnold has named his second favorite team after Liverpool

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has named Barcelona as one of his ‘other favorite teams’.

The academy graduate has spent his entire career so far at Anfield and already has over 200 senior appearances under his belt, despite being just 23 years of age.

He’s quickly established himself as one of the best right-backs in the game and has earned plenty of admirers from clubs across Europe. Alexander-Arnold, a boyhood Red, also has a soft spot for Barcelona and says they have ‘similar ideas and values’ to Liverpool.

“I would say that my other favorite team is Barcelona,” he told British GQ.

“I feel that they have the same ideas and values as Liverpool. They like to bring players through the academy.

“I grew up watching [Lionel] Messi and that special Barcelona team with [Andres] Iniesta, Xavi [Hernandez], [Thierry] Henry, and [Samuel] Eto’o.”

Alexander-Arnold is currently sidelined with a hamstring problem that saw him miss the FA Cup clash

with Nottingham Forest prior to the international break. Having withdrawn from the England squad,

he’s been putting in the work to regain fitness ahead of the crucial run-in.
