‘Looked at home’: Sky pundit blown away by Chelsea loanee after international performance

Jamie Redknapp was left blown away by the international performance from England and Chelsea talent Conor Gallagher over the weekend.

Chelsea loanee Gallagher, who’s loving life across London during a season-long loan with Crystal Palace, is continuing to impress.

The 22-year-old was handed a second senior England cap today with a start at Wembley Stadium against Switzerland.

Breel Embolo’s header put the Swiss in front before Luke Shaw’s equalizer on the stroke of halftime,

with Gallagher assisting his England colleague. Afterward,

Harry Kane converted from the penalty spot in the second half to secure a 2-1 win in the international friendly.

from energetic central midfielder Gallagher in an England shirt at Wembley:

“He looked really good. He was classy, had high energy, chances, assist for a goal. His star has certainly gone up today.”

Chelsea conveyor belt

Surely, Blues’ first-boss Thomas Tuchel is already scheming ideas of how to use Gallagher next season.

There are a couple more that should join him on the academy conveyor belt, too.

Levi Colwill, excelling on loan at Huddersfield Town, and Armando Borja,

impressing on loan at Southampton, are two more Chelsea-owned talents that should remain at Stamford Bridge next season.

There is no danger of Cobham running out of rising stars anytime soon.
