Liverpool XI vs Manchester City: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League

Liverpool will be without Trent Alexander-Arnold against Manchester City after he was ruled out due to an adductor issue.

Alexander-Arnold missed Tuesday’s 5-1 win over FC Porto and Jurgen Klopp has confirmed he will not be available to face City at Anfield.

It means James Milner is set to continue at right-back.

Klopp has said he expects Alexander-Arnold to return after the international break.

Thiago Alcantara also remains sidelined as he recovers from a calf injury.

Speaking on Friday, Klopp said: “No ‘news’ means they are doing well but they won’t have enough time for being back against City, but I expect them both to be back after the international break.

“But we have a good team so we still have solutions and we have to use them and yeah, after the international break the boys will be back I think.”

Liverpool predicted XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Jota, Mane.
