Ridiculous’: Some Chelsea fans not happy with by swap deal Tuchel’s reportedly considering

 Plenty of Chelsea supporters on social media were not amused by the latest transfer update involving Kurt Zouma.

According to a report from Il romanista, the Blues are planning to offer Zouma and a fee to Roma in return for Gianluca Mancini.

The French centre-back actually played a large chunk of the campaign until Thomas Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard.

In total, he made 36 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals along the way.

Yet, Chelsea are looking to sign another central defender, with the Roma man apparently on their radar.

Mancini is highly rated within the Roman walls, despite him being left out of Italy’s European Championship squad.

At the moment, it seems Zouma could be the man to take his place in Serie A, something Blues fans did not take kindly to.

Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:

@ChelseaFC DON’T SELL ZOUMA! https://t.co/h5ikUAAQon

Zouma was flawless in a back 4 but offering him isn’t correct imo, should stay at chels and we should try to incorporate him into the team. Was our best defender bar silva when christensen and rudiger weren’t in the form of their lives, just my opinion.

If this guy is worth 27mil why do we need to offer Zouma plus Cash. Ridiculous

No thanks rather keep Zouma

Zouma is one of Chelsea’s current longest-serving first-team players who didn’t come through the academy.

He was signed from St Etienne in 2014 as a talented teenager for £12m (BBC Sport).

In between a trio of loan moves back to France, Stoke City, and Everton, the 26-year-old has played 150 times for the Blues.

Four trophies have also tumbled his way during this period, including a pair of Premier League titles and the Champions League.

But loyalty or longevity is rarely a saving grace, especially not within a club as ruthless as Chelsea.

Potentially moving to Roma would reunite Zouma with Jose Mourinho, the manager who originally brought him to Stamford Bridge.
